Every new election includes a group of younger voters who were not old enough to vote at previous elections. In marginal seats the views of this new group of voters are arguably more significant. One key issue in relation to young voters is their interest in the Greens, possibly due to their strong stance on addressing climate change and social issues.
This site presents the percentage of younger voters, those aged between 18 and 24 years of age, the group understood to be more likely to vote Green, in relationship to the new Legislative Assembly electorates. It also presents the percentage of voters who were not old enough to vote at the 2010 election but now can.
